About Pushpak

A Different Way to Explore Sonoma

Local stories, scenic roads, and electric trikes that make wine country feel a little more personal.

Our Story

A Sonoma Story, Powered by Electric Trikes

Pushpak began with a bigger idea than sightseeing.

Founder Howard Sapper started Pushpak Motors around the belief that short trips could be cleaner, easier, more social, and a lot more fun. What began as an electric trike and micromobility business eventually became something more personal: a guided way to experience Sonoma from the road.

The shift happened naturally. Howard saw that the trikes did more than move people from place to place. They changed how people experienced a place. Suddenly, Sonoma’s backroads, neighborhoods, vineyards, and local stories felt more open, more immediate, and more alive.

Today, Pushpak Wine Country Tours offers guided electric trike experiences through Sonoma Valley and beyond, from the historic Plaza to vineyard-lined routes, resort departures, seasonal rides, private group tours, and local partnerships throughout wine country.

Meet Howard

The Accidental Tour Leader

Howard Sapper did not set out to build a typical tour company.

His path has moved through music, film, festivals, media, community organizing, environmental advocacy, and civic life. Before Pushpak, Howard spent decades in the entertainment world, working with artists, events, creative businesses, and cultural projects.

Pushpak brings those threads together: a little showmanship, a lot of local knowledge, a deep sense of community, and a belief that small electric vehicles can change the way people move through the world.

On tour, that translates into something simple: guests get to see Sonoma in a way that feels open, relaxed, personal, and alive.

What Pushpak Stands For

More Than a Tour

Eco-Friendly by Design

Pushpak’s electric trikes are quiet, battery-powered, and built around the idea that not every local trip needs a car.

Local Stories

Each route is shaped by Sonoma’s history, neighborhoods, scenic backroads, and the small details visitors usually miss.

Community First

Pushpak grows through relationships with local wineries, resorts, restaurants, arts organizations, and hospitality partners.

What Makes It Different

Not Your Typical Wine Tour

No Tour Bus Feeling

You drive your own electric trike while following a professional guide through scenic local roads.

Easy to Ride

The trikes are road-safe, fun to drive, and only take a few minutes to learn before departure.

Open-Air Sonoma

The experience feels immersive because you are not watching wine country through a window. You are part of the route.

The Name

Why “Pushpak”?

The name Pushpak comes from a Hindu mythological tale, where Pushpak is described as a flying chariot.

Pushpak’s version stays closer to the ground, but the spirit is the same: movement, freedom, imagination, and a more joyful way to see the world.

Community & The Arts

A Life Beyond the Ride

Howard’s work has always reached beyond transportation. A longtime Sonoma resident, he has spent decades in music, film, festivals, media, environmental advocacy, and civic life.

He is also a co-founder of Everybody Is A Star, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping special-needs young adults express themselves through music video and the arts.

That creative, community-minded spirit continues to shape Pushpak today, from local partnerships and wine country routes to collaborations with Sonoma’s arts, hospitality, and cultural organizations.
